Will there be a plugin made anytime in the near future supporting syncronization with the Rio Kharma?
rohangc
Why do you want a synch plugin for Karma in FB2K? Isn't it enough if you can achieve it in RMM? In my opinion, RMM is very good software.
Phate
Just thought it might be nice. The f00_pod (and related) plugin(s) sparked an interest. I just don't happen to be a big Apple fan.

Add me to that list too!! smile.gif Sorry, I meant no offence, but IMHO, RMM is good enough for all our Karma needs. By the way, how long have you had your Karma? Mine is about 2 weeks old. Any lock-ups, crashes, misc. problems? I hope you have the latest firmware. Let me know your Karma experience. Thanks.

rohangc,

You've been added! wink.gif And thanks for letting me know about RMM. I will definitely let you know all about the Kharma as soon as I get one, but currently I have the older model Creative Zen USB 2.0. *shrugs*

It's time for a new one. The Zen has been giving me problems for a little while now. So I've been checking out my options and gathering as much information as possible.

But I've pretty much decided upon the Kharma. Now I'm just left to finish up with the money situation and I'll be set!

It's Rio Karma not Kharma.

Meh, I'm an ass, just ignore me. dry.gif

No no, it's important, for example when people search for it. Thread title corrected.

Hey Phate. I am glad you are getting yourself a Karma. I am sure you will enjoy it. However, I very, very, very highly recommend that you buy an extended warranty. The cheapest deals AFAIK are at BestBuy.com You can buy a Karma for $200 and an extended warranty will cost you about $30 more.

Don't get me wrong, a Karma is a great player (I love mine and it has worked well without any problems) but the technology behind any Digital Audio Player is new and hence one might face problems.

Once you buy a Karma, you can get either screen protectors or a case to protect your Karma from scratches and shocks. In fact, since these things take a while to ship, I suggest you order these before you get your Karma so that your Karma will be protected from the moment it comes out of its box.

Let me know (PM me) when you get your Karma. Bye.

Hey guys,

I'm also a happy Karma owner would love for a plugin to sync with the karma.

I'd like to take it a step further, how about a pluging that would sync *any* mass-storage compliant DAP? Where basically, we tell the plugin ok here's the device and the folder where the music is stored, so send all the music there. This could also be used to send music to say a portable hdd or a CF card for a PDA that I bring with me on the road while not having to copy & paste all the music manually. I know this wouldnt work the Karma yet, but it's successor, whenever the hell it comes out is supposed to support this, I know the iAudio M series, and some of the Rio players also support this, among others. (iRiver too perhaps?)

I've very recently got a Karma (it's still in the mail, actually), so I would really like such a plugin, too.

I don't have any experience with DAPs (I just have an MP3/CD player), but if the DAP shows up as a drive in Windows Explorer, couldn't you use foobar's Masstagger's "move, rename, or copy files" to copy the files to the DAP?

This works quite well with my iAudio M3L.
