i have a bunch of badly ripped mp3s that have a click at the verry start, any way to remove this without reencoding the mp3?
all wave editors i own would want to reencode the mp3 8[

Since the audio data has to be changed, there is no such lossless tool. But it's not worth it anyway, i'd just properly re-rip the tracks.

hmm id just need a tool to cut the first few frames of the mp3 i dont have the cd anymore sadly 8[

Oh, i thought you needed a click remover. Cutting the first frames is a bit more radical...

like dreamliner said, mp3directcut. it'll let you cut out the first few frames and save the edited mp3 directly without going to WAV.

MP3Trim is quite good at this very specific task. I would actually recommend it over MP3DirectCut. Any bad/silent frames can be automatically detected and removed, and/or you can specify the exact number of frames to remove (which I find difficult in MP3DirectCut), and then preview it before you actually save the file.
