Hi,
I created some wave pack files all nicely tagged using Foobar.
Next I transcoded to mp3, again using Foobar (the tags were still there).
Lastly I MP3Gained the files and the Gain tags were there but the other tags were gone.

I recollect reading something about this in the Forums but cannot find it. Sorry!

Can someone help out, or am I making a mistake somewhere.

Thanks,
auldyin

I think the subject of your post is very misleading, since you're experiencing a MP3 problem and not not a Wavpack problem.

Anyway, this thread probably has some useful information:

Edit: ...if you used ID3v2 tags when transcoding. If you used APEv2, then I have no idea what your problem is.

Perhaps the problem is that I just don't really understand this tagging stuff but I had the notion that the wavepack files were APE tagged and that the integrity of the tags was preserved on transcoding to mp3.
This would not appear to be the case so I really need advice.

Incidentally, that was the thread I was referring to. Thanks for the info
