there are clicks and pops when playing my flac files through asio output. I don't have any problems with other filetypes, though. Is this a limitation of the asio plugin?
thx for any help!

no problems with flac and asio here.... may be your buffer size is too small I can set the size with my soundcard.

Does it occur with other playback modes?

i've just seen that it also occurs with monkey's audio files ... but to a lesser extent can this be a cpu load issue? on the other hand this really makes me think it is a problem of the asio plugin (0.44b) ... i use an echo indigo, btw.
@Mike Giacomelli what do you mean by other playback modes? i use 24bit padded to 32bit playback using directsound output is fine

So why not use ds then? What real adventage have you from asio output but problems with proper playback?

Rise ASIO latency.

i agree ... it is not essential to use asio ... maybe it is just the fact that i like to have only one volume slider (working) in the windows volume control.

Do you have any other PCI devices? After many headaches, I found that my sound card and RAID did not play well together; I got pops n clicks in playback no matter what when they were both present in the system at the same time.
