i love foobar2000. currently i'm using the old school user interface, which is right up my alley (though i wish it had system tray minimize capabilities).

i'm just curious if there is any sort of streaming audio plugin available, or being worked on. i searched the forum but didn't come up with any immediate results. the issue i have is that when i'm at work i have no music to listen to, and i don't want to drag my cds with me (i'm very picky about scratches and that sort of junk), so i'd like to just be able to control foobar remotely (which i think can be done with the http plugin) to 'shoutcast' streaming audio.

thanks in advance for any help.

According to the foobar2000 web site, the streaming support component comes with all installations. http://foobar2000.org/components.html#foo_read_http
(you should have foo_read_http.dll in foobar's components directory...)

To play a stream, go to > Playlist > Add Location ... and enter the address.

-edit-

I guess I glazed over the end of your post where you said "i'd like to just be able to control foobar remotely..." ~ That should have made it clear enough that you want to broadcast, not receive.

i apologize for this being on the hydrogenaudio forum, as opposed to the foobar2000. the account activation link brought me back to this part of the forum.

maybe i wasn't too clear in my original post, but what i want to do is shoutcast FROM my home client (using foobar2000) so i can connect from work.
