I've just recently created a matrix encoder. Those working with multichannel audio sources might want to give it a try and return feedback & criticisms.

This encoder is not a diskwriter?

I can only find it in the dsp manager. Can you explain more what functions it provides? Your website doesn't show much info about it.

Thanks.

You'll have to use the diskwriter included in the special installer of foobar. Configure the DSP chain to use the encoder, and also the diskwriter plug-in to use DSP. Right-click a file in the playlist and select Convert | Run Conversion, and then specify the format and location to save the file. I haven't the time to write proper documentation for this plug-in at the moment. Sorry about that.

I see, your encoder works with diskwriter with "use DSP" enable in the processing section.

So, in summary (correct me if I'm wrong smile.gif ):
1. Enable the "ATSurround Encoder" (make it as one of the Active DSPs) in "DSP Manager".
2. Check "use DSP" in the section of processing in settings of "diskwriter" so that the conversion will make use of the encoder enabled in step 1.
3. Right-click a file in the playlist and select Convert | Run Conversion....... (Assuming that you already know about the process of file format conversion).

The output file will be a multi-channel audio file, that's it! biggrin.gif

Question: Is the output file always a 6-channel audio file?

Again, thanks for your great work on the plugin.

That's absolutely correct smile.gif

As far as I can understand from the homepage, the ATSurround Encoder works the other way; it mixes multichannel audio into stereo.
