my best guess is that you dont have the right encoder. to use the --alt-preset medium, you have to get the "modified" one.... (http://www.rarewares.org/files/mp3/lame-3.90.3modified.zip) as explained here (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=28124). if that dosen't help, i dont know what to tell you. oh, and btw, next time you post a question, it is nicer to make your topic alittle more descriptive, and on forums, caps and exclamation marks should not be used lightly. its like screaming.... anyways, good luck

hmm, i dont know. sorry, ive never used audiograbber.... i exclusively and devotedly use eac.... is there any reason why you are using audiograbber? its pretty much agreed on here on ha that eac gives the best results, and with the help of a good tutorial (http://users.pandora.be/satcp/tutorials.htm), its pretty easy to set up... but if you are happy with your results and dont feel like changing, thats cool, i respect that, but i can't help you with the technicals on audiograbber....

That's right. I don't mean to intimidate or sound condescending, but it is pretty important that you name and place posts correctly. So important, in fact, it has its own point in the Terms of Service:

...or use the 'new' DLL (3.96.1) with the following settings:
Check 'internal encoder'
* Select variable bitrate
* Select old (slower) or new (faster)
* On the low to high quality slider move it to vbr 4
* Choose Joint Stereo
Quality = Normal
