There is (at least with Lame 3.95 and newer): Just use VBR 2 and quality=high, this gives the exact same result as --preset standard, no matter if the dll or exe is used. Alternatively, if you prefer to use Lame 3.90.3, you can download a modified dll from rarewares.org which can be configured with an .ini file to encode in --preset standard no matter what options are passed to it by the frontend. However, there's no reason not to use the lame.exe - and I just love those DOS-windows popping up and the *'s and %'s rolling along

well...right, -V2 is the same like --preset standard , but that's just the modern way of presenting the presets...
