I'm new to MPC, and I was wondering which command line encoder would give me better results, the 16 bit decoder or the 32 bit decoder? With the 32 bit decoder does --shape or --dither make any noticable difference?

If you want normal 16bit wavs just use mppdec(16).

Yeah but mppdec decodes at 16 bit and mppdec16 decodes at 32 bit then writes a 16 bit wav. Is there any noticable difference besides speed?
