This program is designed for converting ape/flac/whatever lossless image files into split mp3/ogg/whatever files.
I discovered this program while browsing some other forum, and thought that I'd share this amazing application with you people smile.gif

Foobar2000 supports the same feature (cuesheet splitting) with some extent, and it is not buggy. wink.gif

Indeed it does, but this program is specialized for such activity, and therefore it is more suited smile.gif

I can't access the link.

EDIT: Never mind.

Hmm... does this program actually split the image the same way that it would be split by a CD ripping program? If I recall, foobar2000 splits it and includes the pregap at the end of the next track, which most audio rippers (EAC, for example) would not do.

[EDIT]
As far as I can tell, the answer to this is yes. And for the record, there are two reasons why this concerns me:
1. The extra silence at the end of the track is annoying, especially when DJing
2. If you take your resulting files and try to use them for a FreeDB search, you get a "disc not found" error, because it hase diffirent times than the actual CD.

As for #1, I know that there is a remove silence component for foobar that could be useful, but it still doesn't acheive the exact same results. I wish I were a savvy enough programmer to add this into foobar myself, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm guessing that the best way would be to modify the diskwriter plugin so that it could have an option to parse the cuesheets in a few different ways when operating with them.

i.e. in Exact Audio Copy, there are three options (under the Action menu):
-Leave Out Gaps
-Append Gaps to Previous Track (default)
-Append Gaps to Next Track

something like that in the diskwriter options would work nicely.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of this iRage fellow?

His forum is BADLY BADLY compromised, and is being used for nothing other than spamming and faking link popularity for e-commerce websites.

I get about a dozen or so e-mails a day notifying me of (fake) responses to a post, but my account isn't active and I can't log in (but somehow I still keep getting notifications!)

This is pretty frustrating, but there's no way of contacting iRage, or another owner of the forum.

The guy seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Does anyone know him or how he could be contacted?
