I didn't have time to check it out, but now that I did: you've done a really cool job smile.gif Pictures give the tutorial a nice user-friendly touch wink.gif

Do I need to put my tracks into the foobar2000 database before using Playtree? The tutorial doesn't explicitly state this (and I've not been using the database). Otherwise, I'm still just not "getting" this plugin... and it looks just like what I'm after... sad.gif Following the instructions for dynamic folders just leaves me with empty nodes.

You can use it without database if you just drag and drop tracks on static folders or you use the $drop function in a dynamic folder.
If you want to do something else (i.e. you want to view your files by artist, genre, path, 100 top rated, etc.), you need to enable the database if you want to populate your nodes. It's easy: just enable database in Core-Preferences, insert the path of your music files, click on the scan button, restart foobar.

If you want more help, post in the playlist tree official thread here or (better) in the playlist tree forum.

also, it will be much faster to load tree collections if the database is enabled.

BTW: marcomk, you might want to edit the first post to link to the online version of the tutorial: http://foobar.bowron.us/Tutorial/
