I think I may have found a bug in ethier Winamp or the FLAC 1.1.2 winamp plugin...
I noticed that right after installing 1.1.2 FLAC files no longer displayed track numbers in the Winamp main window or its playlist.
Here is what I found...
When Winamp's Advanced Title formatting (herein known as ATF) is enabled, ALL FLAC files played no longer show the track number even though it is present. When ATF is disabled the track number is displayed according to the settings in the FLAC plugin itself. Which match the settings for ATF.
All other formats (MP3, Ogg, etc...) display correctly with ATF enabled. Provided that the track number is present. Only FLAC seems affected.
Winamp Advanced Title Formatting string:
[%artist% - ][$num(%tracknumber%,2) - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%))
FLAC Format string:
[%artist% - ][$num(%tracknumber%,2) - ]$if2(%title%,%filename%)
Output Example:
With ATF enabled: "Crossfade - The Unkown"
With ATF disabled: "Crossfade - 10 - The Unknown"
(yes, I am weird, I like the track number in the middle!)
Before I updated to 1.1.2, with ATF enabled or disabled I would receive the same output: "Crossfade - 10 - The Unknown"
I did a clean re-install of Winamp 5.08 and the FLAC plugin. the default title strings do not include the track number bit, so I added it back. Still the same result.
Has anyone else noticed this?
And something I had posted about before... The FLAC plugin still DOES NOT seem to transfer any data to the media library yet... Winamp always pulls the info from the filename. The only fields that ever get populated in the ML with FLAC are Artist, Album, and Title. All others are blank. FLAC is the only format that this occurs with. Mp3, Ogg, etc... transfer data correctly and fill in all fields provided the infomation is in the file's metadata.
