Full Version: Peter Pawlovski's Cooledit filters go opensource
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Hydrogenaudio Forum > Validated News
rjamorim
Peter Pawlovski (of Winamp plugin development fame) opened the sources of his CoolEdit filter projects. (because he'll stop developing them)

The sources are available at RareWares, under a BSDish license.

cool_lame is in the MP3 section, and cool_ogg in the ogg section.

Enjoy!

Update: Case already released a MPC input plugin:

MPC filter available here. Saving is not implemented yet, I'll add it sometimes. Zip includes sources.

Maybe someone could create a FLAC, or MPC, filter from the sources? smile.gif

Still need MPC Plugin for Cool Edit unsure.gif

No kidding, an MPC filter would be fantastic. Kind of aggrevating to have to decode the song in WinAMP, and then open it with Cool Edit.

Cool Edit MPC filter updated, it can now save files when mppenc.exe is in the path (thanks Trelane for the code).
If you update from previous version remove "cool_mpc.flt" from Cool Edit directory first, this one is simply named "mpc.flt".

It would be nice if there was a way to prevent clipping while opening a file...
Either automatically by using the RG information, or manually with something like --scale ...

Edit: Spelling - I must have been sleeping when I wrote that...

There doesn't seem to be configuration possibility for file opening, but this version uses replaygain data to prevent clipping.
