Hey I own a pair of zalman 5.1 head phones. Unfourtaly they are very uncomtable with portable use. As I work in the gym I want to be able to use a portable mp3 player. THe problem is the zalmans arent the best bass for audio and are to bulky to work with unforatily. Any suggestions for other headphones would be apperated. I was hopeing these headphones would be in the zalman range 55-65 dollars but I guess I can pay 75-100. Remember it's only a mp3 player so the amp shouldnt be powerful enough to take advantage of most headphones.

I'm in possession of a pair of Koss KSC-75s. The Koss portable range is quite highly regarded as good value for the money, and I'm pleased with their sound and portability. They're USD$20, with some other models around $30.

Sennheiser also make some nice portable headphones. Their PX-100 model is usually well reviewed for its USD$40 pricetag, and the PX-200 and 250 are closed variants of that headphone.

Perhaps go and read a little Head-Fi as you're likely to get a few well-informed opinions over there... and some recommendations for insanely expensive gear wink.gif.

I got some e3c for $110 for this use. Love them. Especially since they block out the ****** music that always plays at my gym.
They don't have the wildest 'umpf' in the bass though on phat beats.
IMO they are the best headphones/inear I've used.

I second the suggestion to go to head-fi. And look out...once you're there you can never return!!

I was looking for a pair of headphones for christmas right and was thinking $60-$100 would be more than enough for me. HA. I got a pair of $280 headphones and just got a $200 amp. Now I'm looking for a cd player which will set me back another $250 atleast.

So good luck finding headphones!!! laugh.gif

I have a pair of Sennheiser PX-100s I have used them for about 2 years now. They are the best headphones for portable use IMHO.

Actually if you don't mind earbuds, I find the Sennheiser MX series quite acceptable.
