Hello

I am looking for a CD player that I can use with a home stereo. I am setting it up in my living room and due to space requirements would like it to be no more than 11 or so inches wide. I have seen the Teac pdh300 and pdh500 series players, but am having trouble finding them in the US. Also something with a remote and a level control on the remote would be ideal as I plan on going straight into a tube amp (scott 222 or stereo 300B power amp and from what I can tell the teacs may not work in this regard.

I do not own any DVD players, but would also consider one, if it can fit. The size requirement is because I wolud like to place the unit on top of one of my speakers (Electrovoice EV Fours).

I wouldn't put stuff like that on top of speakers. Bad vibes.

Yeah, on the speakers is a bad idea. Just imagine the bass hitting and the laser "skating" on the disc.
