ok, i have some speakers from 1984 here, and they have woofers that have a seemingly rubberish material in the center, and a vinyl-like material around the outside.. i have another pair of RECENT speakers, with woofers that have a vinyl like material in the center, and foam around the outside.. im wondering if all newer woofers are made like this? the woofers are the same size, but the rubber ones sound alot better.. the vinyl ones sound like a cardboard box getting hit with a baseball bat.. so im wondering if all newer woofers are made cheap like this? thanks..
