i've been ripping some of my dvds and converting them to mp4 format in order to get them ready for viewing on my psp when i get it. the problem is that the audio and video is in sync at the beginning of the movie, but throughout the movie the audio track starts to slowly trail behind the video and by the time i get to the end of the movie, there is a about a 12 second difference between the audio and video. i've tried converting with every converter i can think of, such as ImToo MPEG Encoder, RaPiZ PSP Video Converter and MPEG4 Direct Maker. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Try

Have you been using those crappy guides which insist on converting a dvd first to xvid or divx? If you do so you are crapping quality and vbr mp3 audio in avi files (xvid or divx) can cause synch errors.

thnx latexx im not having anymore A/V sync problems. i guess the problem was what u said, that i was converting to AVI format first and then mp4, which was what was causing the problem. i used that last guide u gave me, and its probably the best guide i can find right now.
