Hey, I found a cd-r of Dookie off the cd I used to once have, but I lost sad.gif

Now I burned this back in my wee days and can't remember if it was compressed to death or it was a burst cd -> cd-r with no compression.

I'll read off the avg bitrates and can someone tell me if its close to the actual money? thx

These are the bit rates I have for the album using LAME 3.96.1 at Preset Standard. The CD was the original audio CD ripped with Exact Audio Copy.

thanks guys -- i'm using --alt-preset standard

it appears as if my cd was pry encoded @ 192 or 160, although its possible you and I both had different masterings... oh well, too cheap to buy another copy (that and I just bought Arcade Fire - Funeral so im broke smile.gif)

unlikely if you look at the bitrates IMO.

you could however use auCDtect to verify the source (or at least get a good indication).
