I have read much about the quality DAC's in the Chaintech AV710 and have ordered one for stereo playback. However I also want to convert my LP's to Wave/Flac and would like some feedback on the quality of the Chaintech ADC's huh.gif

in one word, average
unfortunateson
the input noisefloor on my Chaintech is between -30 and -40db, which is not good for recording.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

It's not actually that bad (-30dB to -40dB noise, horrible), but it's really only average, nothing special. -90dB is achievable with the ADC, but distortion etc. specs could be better.

I am currently using a Pioneer PDR W839 to record lp(s) to CDRW disk which I then rip using EAC. Will continue to do this as the specs on the Pioneer are somewhat better. 24 bit ADC, Recording S/N 92dB, Recording thd 0.005%. Sometime in the future may invest in an EMU 0404.
