ok, so i got this cli version and that accplus dll - then i even managed to make some aacplus packed in rm streams (not multibitrate thought).

since iam kinda lost on that helixcomunity page i wonder if somebody (i guess with some better education tongue.gif ) could share some experience on what do i clicky/read to get some info on how to use that thingy properly from cli?

1- i want direct access to the encoder - and not via some funny presets (for subjective testing)
2- i wanna be able to make proper presets on my own - including 16kbit/s mono aacplus, 20kbit, 24kbit streams, ect.
3- how to do the multibitrate stream based on that presets

---

4- whats up with linux/helix and aacplus?
5- how many different AAC encoders are included now? (i would like to use LCAAC at some higher bitrates - starting with 128 kbits probably)

Helix producer doesn't give you free access to its he aac codec. See http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83828

For simple access to the audio encoder try 'Easy RealMedia Producer' - http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73228

Only catch is, you have to use an .avs file. This may have changed but, i havent used this program since '28 days later' was new on DVD.

smok3: I am not sure I understand your questions completely (1 and 2), but I think these should be answered in the thread pointed to by Latexxx (which bitrates are supported and how to select them).

3: I am not sure if this is supported. But with the sample multi-rate audiences included with Producer, and my example in the doom9 thread above, you can easily test yourself.

4: Unfortunately, a linux build of the HE-AAC encoder DLL that includes 32 and 48 kbps is not available. I would have made it available too, but it appears the changes that enable these two bitrates are not being used to build the nightly build. I have filed a bug on this, but it has not yet been corrected.

5: This lists the LC-AAC flavors that are available: https://producerapps.helixcommunity.org/cmd...io_Codec_Tables
The HE-AAC flavors are listed in the doom9 thread.

tnx a lot for the answers,
i was informed by our helix expert that aacplus surestream is not possible unfortunately :/ - that makes things pretty much 'almost useless'...

6. and another question (if we figure out how to do surestream) is how to easily repack (on the fly) rm surestream to multiple mp4 streams, or is there a was to make encoder to produce also mp4 streams (from the same data) ?

so i get:
surestream rm and
mp4 32 aacplus
mp4 48 aacplus
mp4 64 aac plus
mp4 128 lc aac
