Hello people of HA!

For some time now, I have been looking for a drive which would allow me to get a standard VHS cassette and record directly from it without the need to connect an external VCR player to my tv card.

I have managed to find a drive which does exactly that but not for VHS cassette, instead it does the same thing for standard old fashined audio cassettes.

The drive is called PlusDeck. This drive would be perfect for anyone wanting to convert their old cassettes to a digital format.

So back to the main point. Does anyone know if a similar type of drive exists for VHS cassettes?

I'm afraid that there aren't such drives.

Thanks for the response.

I think that's why I'm finding it so difficult to locate such a product, because it doesn't exist!

Saying that, I do remember seeing a 5.25 bay vcr drive for the pc some years back. Most likey they have stopped producing it now. If I remember correctly there was a problem with that drive as it was too long for most atx cases. It would not fit in because the psu would get in the way.

Anyway, I think I should stop the search and look for other solutions.

Thanks

Cheap tv card with standard vcr is the best choice IMHO.
