Hi,
what I want to do is to play the same music on multiple PC in the same local network. Think one amp, multiple loudspeakers, but using computers and ethernet. The usual streaming won't work, because the music is never in sync because of the extensive buffering. Is there another solution except doing it the old analog way?

You could use one PC to run slimserver on and use the software version of the squeezebox (softsqueeze) on the other PCs. They are able to play in sync.

Hi,
thanks for the hint! I setup a test configuration, but unfortunately, there is quite a noticeable delay between the two test computers when set in "syncronisation". Do I have to tune some parameters?

Edit: I use Java 5 with DirectSound and the MP3 decoder lib installed on all machines, but unfortunately that doesn't help.
