EDIT: Doh, ok...you just save the playlist file, then open it in foobar. I am finding out that www.di.fm has some incredible quality. What are these streams called? They sound 100x better than the crap I am finding on Live365. And, do any of you know some good stations that play indie type of music.

Thanks.

HEY!
I wonder what was your problem/question that you solved (Doh)?
I too have (just recently) found www.di.fm and I am impressed and excited to check it out more. I have been able to find very passable music quality on Live 365! -Including indierock and stuff.

Please, re-post your original question. I get the feeling that I have the same question--BUT don't know how to solve it!
[I would like to(easily) record the file/tag info from streaming audio]
Thanks

Hey,

I sent you a PM yesterday, but I am not sure if you received it. I can't find it in my out box, nonetheless, I basically said, that all you have to do is save the .pls file to your hard drive and open it from there. That way you will get the http to show up in foobar. :-)

Also, I think these streams are called aacPlus. This is a new technology. Do a search on it. I found a couple sites you can check out:

http://www.tuner2.com/

http://www.somafm.com/

The second link has an New/Classic Indie Station at the bottom. Use the 64k aacPlus, instead of the 128K Mp3.

Hope that helps.

Winston
Here is a better Indie Station with 128k aacplus:

&

Indie Rock

Enjoy!

Cool, Thanks. I am still getting my process and system all together. I am a recent EAC fanatic. I am sold on FLAC for archiving. I am VERY new to Foobar2000. I am really excited by the streaming audio that is available "out there"!

LIVE365.com is cool-----The following serves most of my indie needs:
http://www.live365.com/stations/netzoo (64K MP3Pro)
http://www.live365.com/stations/jmy707 (56K dry.gif )
http://www.live365.com/stations/tmission (24K blink.gif )

I haven't really spent much time on Shoutcast but just found:
http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-pl...le=filename.pls

SOMA_FM is an old favorite of mine, sorry I didn't suggest it earlier.
I sometimes sleep with DroneZone quiet in the background.

I will be checking out tuner2.com------thanks

QUESTION??
Are you recording in/with foobar-or just listening and you want the tag info, just to know who's playing/what site it's from?

I have a program called Total Recorder and it is able to record streams. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to record a stream and record the tag info. either automatically or easily keep a record of the playlist and apply the appropriate tags later.....

By the way, I did get your PM-thanks for keeping in touch--
