Hello, i'm a noob in headphones, please help me.
I want to buy some headphones WITH MIC for gaming/music,with a budget of about40$
now i want to make the best out of the money, so please post some recommandations.
my ex-headphones were some really crappy no-names that had faulty wiring... after some time the wires gave up and the sound kept interrupting. the sound quality was good, i'm not very pretentious.
so i want something with a sturdy build, that doesn't make my ears bleed.
also, are there extension cords for headphones/speakers ? i want something like 2-3 meters for my headphones.
thanks smile.gif

oh i forgot, they must have volume slider too !!!

YOu could start looking at the Plantronics Audio 90 headset.
2.9 meter cord, volume control, mic mute switch.

About $25 at amazon. If you look at amazon.com, there is also a button for "check similar items" to see what else is out there. There is a Senheiser model near the top of your range.

I definitely recommend a noise cancelling mic (both models above have them) to keep fan noise etc out of your conversations.

I had the plantronics model (until my kid took them over) for internet telephone (voip) use, and will likely replace them with the same model.

I ordered the Sennheiser PC150's at buy.com for around that.

i think i'll go with the Plantronics Audio 90..
do they have retractable mic ? so i can pull it up when i don't need it..
i don't like the idea of having a mic in front of my face all the time, when i listen to music :/
except that, it's exactly what i want

Yes, you can flip the mic up so the boom lies alongside the headband of the phones.
