can anyone please help w/ audio (rebuffering type) drop outs ?

thought the audio (re buffering or whatever) audio-dropouts were gone after restoring my 2nd gen. ipod, but sorry to say their not.

....Happens w/ aiff as well as 228 aac files ?

128 aac files seem to play back fine ? could this mean the hard drive is on it's way out ? one would think that although 2nd gen cannot do lossless all others should be do-able.

any other options following restoring, other than assume a physical hard drive problem?

appreciate any help.

Does it happen with WAV files as well? If it's only happening on big files, sort of thing, then it could be a hard drive slowly dying sort of thing.
