As announced on Xiph's website and in a message to the vorbis-dev mailing list. Tremor is an integer-only Vorbis decoder library. Previously source for this product was not available, but it has just been relicenced under the same licence terms as the rest of the Vorbis libraries.
This is very good news for anyone looking to create Vorbis decoders on hardware without good support for floating point (the standard Vorbis libraries utilise floating point extensively).

Hmm, seems that there hasn't been the hardware support Xiph had hoped so far..
Hopefully this will help Vorbis to gain wider HW-support..

The only way to make them pissed.

What good is that? They surely won't rely on spam to check user demand. They are smart enough to perform market researches instead.

The only thing that will happen is that the secretary responsible for replying to requests with pre-made forms will have a lot of job.

Well, if you mean thousands of "gimme ogg support!!!", it's not gonna help.

Maybe lots of properly written requests but not any "spam requests"... dry.gif

and sending a physical letter will probably get more attention than an email.

I'm waiting to see if anyone is going to try to hack an iPod to add Vorbis support. I would consider looking into it, if I had an iPod and the time to learn a lot about them.

Hopefully this will get player support, I was just thinking about how nice it would be to walk to class with some music.
