Full Version: Audiophile 2496 both stereo outs simultaneously?

Not sure if this is the right subforum, but...

I was wondering if there is a way to have the M-Audio 2496 output to both sets of its stereo channels simultaneously, by default?

This is my setup: I have the SPDIF out and the analog outs going to my amp, which has a 'multiroom' feature that allows me to run a separate set of speakers in another room. So I use the analog out from the sound card to feed the kitchen, and the SPDIF for the living room.

The reason I ask is that I can use Foobar2000, with the 'convert stereo to 4 channels' plugin to do the job. But with Winamp and other Windows audio apps I can only output to *one* of the stereo pairs, not matter what I select in the Windows audio properties.

I'm using the drivers that came on the original CD. Have been reluctant to update the drivers for fear of destabilizing things.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
