I also have the same trouble with a protected cd - The chronicles of life and death' by GC. iI would like to convert this album into mp3's for my player but I cannot!
The cd doesn't show when loaded into my pc drives. any help much appreciated please.

My nephew has this cd. All he had to do was disable autorun in windows and it ended up ripping fine for him.
use the search function ... it has been discussed before (try dbpoweramp)

One simple way is to just hold the Shift key down while inserting the disk.

Holding the Shift button while loading the disc on the drive should do the trick as mentioned above, also using EAC is always recommended.
You should be able to rip the disc with no problems.
