What encoding times should I expect using razorlame 1.1.5 and Lame 3.92 and APS? Razorlame seems very slow and bogs down my machine (PIII 450 Win XP 256Mb) compared to a simple batch file using lame and APS.

I use a Duron 800 with 256 MB Ram, and I don't see any difference between encoding speeds when using RazorLame. Are you doing other encoding in the background? Maybe try rebooting and trying again. I don't think RazorLame draws a lot of processor or memory power.

Try increase lame encoding priority to normal. Razor Lame sets idle by default (I think).
