I have a large .Flac file, and a responding .cue sheet, sorry I'm not very computer literate, can someone assist me in separating this flac file into multiple smaller ones?

Thanks

1.) load the cue-file into foobar (see in the textfile, that the big flac is really loaded)

2.) Mark and Right-Click all the titles -> Convert (there are also some settings which might be usefull like path, etc.)

Usability is no strength of foobar, but the functions are a blessing.

How did you get the .cue file.

I have no problem creating flac files, but new to creating things like cue files.
i.e. I haven't done it before and dont know how smile.gif

If you or anyone else can help, I would appreciate it.

The easiest thing would be if you still have the original media that you ripped. EAC creates a .cue file when you rip a disc as an image. Just rip it again and don't delete the .cue.

If you don't have the original you'll have to rip another disc, open the .cue created from it, figure out the format and use that as a template for the disc you need to create the new .cue for. You'll need to know the times where the songs begin and end, that's where it will make the song divisions.

It shouldn't be too hard. The .cues are really small files and it's just text with track numbers and times.

This simplest answer is that he ripped a CD to FLAC+CUE using EAC (most likely).

From EAC: Action> Copy Image & Create Cuesheet > Compressed...

You then need your Compression Options set up correctly to rip to FLAC.

There are numerous tutorials if you feel the need to pursue this.
