Hello!

Does anyone know a free IDE for C# with a built-in form editor other than SharpDevelop and Visual Studio .NET Express Edition 2005? It should work with Framework 1.1 SDK (so not limited to 2.0 beta).

Regards,
Sebastian

Thanks for the links, but I wasn't able to find any free IDEs with a form editor other than SharpDevelop, which isn't stable on my PC for some reason. VS .NET 2005 Beta 2 relies on .NET Framework 2.0 and doesn't get along well with my German Windows XP (various errors during the installation telling me that some assemblies were not registered correctly).

Monodevelop could be what you are looking for but it is (mostly) Linux only and its gui format of choice is GTK# and gui'ing is achived using Glade.

Thanks for the info. I need it for Windows actually, but I will check MonoDevelop on my Fedora and see what it can do.
