I could use a tool that scans a directory (and any subdirectories) for mp3's and generates a report based on the scan with some basic information in it: sync errors, codecs, vbr/cbr, bad last frame, etc. I haven't been able to find anything similar, and there seems to be at least some demand for something like it, so I think I'll try my hand at one myself, given that the EncSpot console source code is freely available. What do people think about this? Can anyone offer help/advice? Is there already something floating around that I've missed? Please let me know.
