Hi there!

I´m new to this lossless thing, and I noticed that the lossless files have variable bitrates (usually from 700k to 950k).

Is that a standard or I´m missing a command line or something??

By the way, I´m compressing files from EAC directly to APE files format.

This is the nature of lossless compression. CBR would be foolish, because you would have to change the compression options every frame to achieve the desired bitrate... that or apply padding or something.
