I got this code that ignores the word "the" for artist names to work from the Preferences > Components > Album List > Activate Album List Window, but it won't work in my tabbed album list window. i'm using strictly4me's config and i'm thinking there might be something clashing there. if anybody knows what might be going on i'd be very grateful if they helped me out. Thanks.

well it turns out that under the preferences > components > album list panel there are tabs, one for colours and the other for sorting and stuff. It also turns out album list and album list panel are two seperate components. I though one was just for editing the colours. Problem solved!
