Hi everyone,

Can you recommend speech codecs that are:
1. GSM-based
2. ADPCM-based
3. PCM-based
Those that have good manuals on how to run them , for example, for a CELP-based speech codecs, one can use Speex, but how about the others. Thank you very much for your time.

I don't see the point of your question. Especially for GSM. There's no such thing as a "GSM-based" codec. It's like asking for G.7-based codecs.

Oh ok i see, i am very sorry, because I am new to these kinds of things. I am actually trying to do a project which aims at comparing the qualities, complexities, bitrates of existing speech codecs, and hence I just want to know if there's any open source codes (with a manual smile.gif)that allow me to do just that, if you know any of those would you recommend them to me?. Thank you very much.
