I'm attempting to switch from winamp.... to Foobar 2000..... I like this player.... But I have a problem..... There's a couple of plugins I'm interested in using... and they all seem to require utf8api.dll....... I used to be a beleiver that google finds everything.... It didn't.... Can someone link me to this file..... please!!! I've been searching for more than an hour.... everyone talks about the file.... NoOne links to it.... crying.gif

The only requirement for me to pull from winamp was Milkdrop.... and now it seems that's possible.... But I can't get that file.... dry.gif Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Are you trying to use 0.8 plugins with 0.9 beta? There's no compability so it won't work......
All 0.8 (and 0.7 for that matter) installers install utf8api.dll. It's gone in 0.9. Plugins compiled for 0.9 won't require it......

EDIT: For Milkdrop there seems to be two possible roads now; this and this (also discussion here).

I've tried both of these.... with the new Beta.... for some reason they still require the dll......

Edit: So it's comes standard in the old installer.... I might be able to pull it from there as a short term fix????

Nope, you can't use 0.8 components with 0.9. If you need to use 0.8 components, just use 0.8.

hmm.... I don't like that..... Well thanks for the Help.....

FYI: 0.8.3 is a solid piece of software... I'm not going to start using 0.9 for other than testing purposes until a shitload of plugins are either recompiled or have found theire replacement..... (Besides, I don't think there's all that much curiosity on the forums 'bout what anybody likes.... I mean; some like sushi, some like steak, that's nice, but so what....?)
