How does CDRDAO work in the last EAC version?
Martin H
Enable 'EAC Options' --> 'Write' --> 'Use CDRDAO for writing in the EAC layout editor'. If you are having a problem with cdrdao, then you need to give some more details... -Martin.

CDRDAO should help those people who have problems burning CDs with EAC's internal engine. Also, you can do offset corrected burns with all writers and not only Teac (assuming your device supports overwriting the Lead I/O).

You cannot overwrite with cdrdao... EAC's internal writing engine can only overwrite with a few Teac drives, but can write offset corrected with all drives supported... -Martin.

since cdrdao doesn't support overwriting

from this thread:

There's also a Plextor premium test in that thread, showing that it isn't possible to overwrite - neither with dao nor with the internal engine.

Ah, I see. Thanks Martin H and precisionist for pointing me to that information. smile.gif
