How do I get Columns UI to show vertical lines between each column?

Why that circuitous. Why don't easily set the right ( or left ) frame color in each column?

Colour String - 9 colour coder in format: text|selected text|background|selected background|selected background non-focus|[left frame] (!)|[top frame]|[right frame] (!)|[bottom frame]
