I have an *.mp3/*.cue pair (Shpongle's new album, very good), and I have my database configured to save *.cue info also so it doesn't disappear every time like it used to before I added it. Now, is tehre any way I can make it so the database will scan and pick up the cue info and be able to play it, but NOT pick up the mp3 because the cue is referencing it.

I don't want the database to pick up the full mp3 (bottom) if there is a cue file present (top)

Hope I explained it well.

try cue splitter

it may not do exactly what you want, but you can split the tracks up without reencoding. (no loss of quality)

Edit: that is a great album.

You can put the mp3 file in another folder out of database control and edit the path in cue file...or split the mp3...

Wow, thanks. I'd tried 2 tools for doing that before, but neither preserved the quality. Thanks a lot smile.gif
