I have a Rio Karma (damn I'm wishing that I'd picked up an Ihp when I had the chance) and I think it would be nice if you could add mpc support to it.
I think options are always good, but from a user practical point of view do you really think that most people have music in mp3, wma, ogg, aac, flac, wavpack and mpc at the same time in their music library? Do you? And if you do what is preventing you from converting to flac/ogg/mp3 that the karma supports? IMO the benefit is marginal for most people, but that's just my opinion.
In my case I got the karma for the ogg support some time ago, and to my surprise i almost never use it. I just use mp3, and there's a simple explanation for that: MP3 is good enough for portable use and is compatible with everything
