2 guys have successfully sued Creative due to their cards using 16 bit instead of 24 bit in some circumstances. As a result of this people in the US who have bought creative equipment can fill out a claim form for a 25% rebate. Details are here.

Edit: This only applies to Audigy cards, so if you were hoping to get a rebate for your Soundblaster 16 you're out of luck.
