My music collection consists from files both 16/44 and 24/96 formats. Sound card supports both format and also supports «Kernel Streaming Driver». So I needn’t use «Resampler SSRC» DSP

It’s good BUT:
Foobar2000 «Playback Tab» requires to set OutputDataFormat to any value between 16 ~ 32 bit.



1 Is there a chance to instruct foobar2000 automatically switch OutputDataFormat matching file format currently playing?

2 If no, which value I should set in order to play both formats with no worry about possible quality loss?

use the highest bitdepth. has nothing to do with samplerate.
