hey guys. I was wondering.... will burst mode with test & copy have the same results insted of accurate stream? And what about crcs? I cannot find how i can test them. I've read some things in the forums but none has covered me.

The thing is that a friend of mine gave me some cds to rip which were scratched (were in a magazine ). With accurate stream enabled, my nd3520a would extract at 0.0X when it found some errors. But with burst mode and test & copy it would just slow down at 6X and the extraction was ok.

So i'm thinking, should i use burst mode with test & copy instead of accurate stream?

The above image shows the read and test CRC columns you should be looking out for. Note the CRC column which all say OK, this means that the read AND test CRC match.

A further question regarding this.

Let's say I rip a copy protected or scratched CD using burst mode and CRC checking. If for example 3 of the tracks show bad CRCs, what can I do next? If I rip only those songs in secure or paranoid mode, should their CRCs change in the list if the copying goes fine this way?

ok that's fine. i'll rip some cds using burst with test & copy since this method takes a lot less time to check the crcs.

You should enable a correctly configured secure mode.

should i consider the info at nero info tool correct for my drive?
I mean it says that my drive has C2 Errors. So, should i enable it at secure mode?

And a question that may be slightly out of topic. Each cd i rip has its own offset or the drive?

I'll step in here and answer this one...

It is recommended that you not use the C2 error correction in your drive. It is more error prone than letting EAC do it's own thing. There is a greater chance of getting undetected glitches when you have the optical drive's C2 enabled in EAC because the drive will report everything OK, so EAC assumes it's not lieing and reports a good rip.

Leave it off, it's more fool proof.
