i notice from some screen shots of some people, they are able to make the sidebar above the playlist column. How do i do that cos i dun wanna the sidebar on the left side.

This isn't exactly putting the sidebar above the playlist, but putting sidebar panels in the toolbar (subtle but important difference).

Somewhere in the Columns UI preferences there is a checkbox labeled "View all toolbars." This will enable you to right-click on the toolbar and add Columns UI panel extensions to the toolbar. You'll also need to play with minimum heights in the panels' preferences to get the layout you want.

If you're using the 0.9 beta, it's quite different.

thanks a lot. i did go search at wiki but cant find the ans, maybe is bcos the way i phrase it. but anyway thanks a million cos what u told me solve the problem.
