As you can see i've repeated the same string twice, which bothers me. Is there anyway of designating the answer into some sort of tag from the first string so i don't have to repeat it in the other one.

again, I am a complete noob

I'm more of a hardware person, so I know how these kinds of posts can get annoying, so all the more thanks.

haha, works.. awesome, but i have to use it twice anyways because $puts(etc) doesn't show up as text.

oh wait... genius! haha.

I'm assuming you discovered that using $put() instead of $puts() will work. Just mentioning it in case someone else stumbles on this thread and has the same question.
