I have a really annoying problem. Sometimes, just in the middle of listening to something the audio stutters. it sounds like a real fast repeat of the same sound frame. I have this problem with winamp etc too.

I read another topic about it, but the solution there was don't use onboard. I have a sb live! 5.1

further specs:
2200+
512 ram
winxp sp2
foobar 0.8.3

i'm using a mix of mp3 and wma. no exotic formats, because limewire almost never has those smile.gif. I'm not using cue sheets. I just put about 2k songs in a directory and loaded them into a playlist.

any. every output has the same. i even tangled with the buffer length, no good. directsound settings didnt help in directsound mode.

After a reboot it's usually gone. But after a while when it's on for a longer time, it starts coming. and after a while its gone. Strange. No strange cpu spikes or anything. I have no clue at all.

try changing the pci slot, usually the 3rd pci slot down will have it 's own irq (AKA the middle one)

I have 23 irqs that show up in system information
