Alright, I have created an mp4 file. If I right click and choose freedb - Get tags I get a message saying that the automated seach at freedb only works for full CDs and that I will have to do a text seach since I only have one song. Fine. I do a text search and it works. I get the album info. Then I click on the preview button and a track list for the whole CD shows up. Great. Then I double click on the appropriate song from the list. Another box shows up, I'm not sure what it is asking, and I click okay. Then back at the previous dialog, I hit the big, shiny "Tage Files" button, and...everything works alright except for the name of the song. The name of the first song on the CD is entered in as the song title. I can work around by choosing "Show file info" and typing the correct song name, but the whole point of doing this was to have an automated way to look up the tag.

And the track# is wrong too, obviously.

I think this plugin is only designed to tag complete albums. My understanding is if you don't have the complete album, with the files pre-sorted into the correct order, then you're out of luck.

It seems Messer had planned/wished to find a solution for single tracks... but has since abandoned development.
