Went to play an AAC+ source in fb2k at Tuner2.com and get the following error:

ERROR (CORE) : error opening file for playback :

Normally I don't have any trouble playing back ACC+ stations, but today I'm getting this error message for all of the stations. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing trouble, or if it's just at my end. Thanks!

I went to one of the sites listed on Tuner2.com (SonaFM) and tried some of the mp3 streams. Same problem as with the ACCplus links, they would not play and gave the same error. So I went to SHOUTcast and clicked some links there. Those will play in foobar, but stutter about once every second (mpeg stream error and resync). It's a really steady stutter. I tried doing a fresh install of Windows XP and foobar. I also uninstalled Kerio and removed my router. Still happens. If anyone knows what might be going on here I would really like to hear from you. Thanks!

Just tried Winamp. Uh oh, same problems. Installed foobar on another PC on the network, connects and plays streams fine, so it's definitely not my router or ISP. Since I reinstalled Windows last night and know it's not that, the only things left that I can think of are a LAN card driver problem (though they've been fine for a long time and I havn't messed with them any time lately) or a problem with the hardware itself. The power did flicker a couple times a few days ago. Does anyone know if what I'm experiencing is a symptom of LAN card failure? Going to try updating the drivers next, then see if I can find a new LAN card to try.

New drivers didn't help. Disabled onboard LAN (Intel) and put in a Realtek card, didn't help either. I'm totally stumped now. The only thing left is that it's likely something in Windows XP, perhaps from a recent update or something since I never had this problem a week or two ago or so. Looking at CPU usage I don't see anything off-hand that might be causing an issue. I was so sure it would be the LAN hardware, there was nothing else left that it could be. Sigh...

Edit: Found the problem! It was Web Washer Classic. I had to go into the options, change the broswer configuration to manual, and uncheck "always use these settings". Don't know how this has anything to do with streaming audio, but it fixed it. Mod can delete this thread if he/she wishes.
