I have these .wma files on which the protection has expired or whatever...such a hassle... I can't even burn them onto a cd. i am aware of jhymn for aac files, where you can easily strip the drm limitations from protected aac files purchased from itunes. is there a tool for doing this with protected wma's? or at least a way around the drm. my intentions are sound; i have no desire to share these files, i just would like to use them, since i paid for them. not too much to ask for i my opinion.

oh well, i guess it serves me right for using crappy microsoft stuff anyway. never again...

edit: clarification

There are no tools which allow you to remove the DRM from a file with an expired licence as far as I know. There are tools which will do it, but you need a valid licence.

Why not just pay up your subscription or buy a non-drm version (on a CD, for instance)?

if i have to, i will, but i was hoping there was some way around it, considering that i paid for the music once, i shouldn't have to do it again.
