Full Version: Useful warning of clipping in mpc for mp3???

Well, I'm encoding my songs to both mpc and mp3.

I'm using mpc from Frank klemm 0.90f. Sometimes the encoder displays warnings like this:

Ocurred internal clipping errors....

...Scale to 0.905 (for example)

Could I use this values when I encode the same wave to mp3, and then scale the mp3 too?

Thanks

Sergio.

Frank recommends that you don't use --scale for clipping reduction anymore since replaygain is available. And the value is not necessary correct for mp3 encoding at all.

Just use: replaygain --auto file.mpc
